THE VENUE
Mole Vanvitelliana is a magnificent XVII century building with a long history and significance for the city of Ancona.
It is now a cultural venue particularly important for exhibitions, events and the Museo Omero, a unique tactile museum.
HOW TO REACH ANCONA
BY PLANE
Ancona has an international airport (IATA code: AOI) and is connected to the venue with the Raffaello bus link.
BY TRAIN
The Ancona FS railway station is just 1.3km from the venue. You can reach Mole Vanvitelliana on foot or with the 1/4 bus or the 1/3 bus (direction: Piazza IV Novembre). See picture below.
BY CAR
Take the A14 route, take the Ancona Sud or Ancona Nord exit and follow indications to Ancona FS railway station. Follow indications for Mole Vanvitelliana or Museo Omero. A free parking place can be found on the side of the Mole.
SUGGESTED HOTELS
A few large hotels are available next to the venue, and many more small accommodations are available in the city center. In the next months we will suggest some accommodations with discounted rates for the conference participants.
Beware: the city is quite hilly, to avoid steep hills you can find a place on the sea coast or around Corso Mazzini, Corso Stamira, Corso Garibaldi.
Attention: “Galleria S. Martino” is a shortcut tunnel from Mole to the city center but is NOT suggested on foot due to pollution! You should take Via XXIX Settembre instead. Usually Google Maps is smart enough to suggest you the second way.
